Discovery's Important History

2370 - The Discovery is deployed, and makes her way through the edge of the milky way, headed towards the Triangulum Galaxy. The first of it's kind, the Discovery is the most advanced ship, with the ability to contact Earth despite being several hundreds light-years away. The first captain: Captain John Richards.


2420 - The Astrometrics Lab is built, and Captain John Richards dies, handing over his command to his first officer. Contact is lost with Earth, but the Discovery continues.


2634 - The USS Discovery, averaging Warp 9.95, reaches the Andromeda for the first time. Their first alien they meet is the Atarians, who are very peaceful. However, the Yernate soon find the Discovery and feel them a threat, attacking the Discovery. Atarians, who have much more advanced technology, save the USS Discovery. A few Atarians wish to travel with the Discovery, and they are welcomed on-board.


2705 - The Delta One base is created around a Class M planet, Atari Minor, with a civilization similar to Earth's. The Yernate are trying to take the planet as their own, so the station is to protect the planet. The Atarians built the station, but has let some of the Discovery's growing crew (to the point it was getting too much to carry on-board)control the station, as the Atarians have plenty of things to deal with otherwise.


2704 - The Yernate, and other foes met along the way follow the USS Discovery in their travels of their galaxy. There is a large battle and in the end the Discovery won, barely, with much of the ship destroyed in the process. The ship returns to Atari, where the Atarians rebuild the USS Discovery.


2734 - The Discovery stumbled upon a rogue, dead planet, but detect life signs. An away team beams down in environmental suits, and finds a young boy, who claims there are monsters all over the planet. The boy requests to be taken away, and the away team decides to grant it. When on the ship, the captain orders an examination, and makes the boy promise to not hurt anyone on the ship, which the boy does. Upon examination, the Head Medic found that the boy was human, but different than any other human. Completely cured of all diseases, with an immune system that could kill just about anything, and a dulled aging cycle, so once he reached about 20 earth years old, he aged much slower. After much deliberation, the boy was allowed to stay aboard, but under watch until they could trust the young boy. The boy was given the name James Tyler Lovett, or simply Jim, because the boy did not know his name.


2789 - The Discovery makes its way towards the Triangulum Galaxy leaving the Andromeda Galaxy. Communication is restored with Earth, who believed the Discovery destroyed, thanks to Jim, who managed to build the strongest communications array in Earth's history, though the delay is nearly a day due to the massive amount of space the signal must go through. Earth rejoices over the information the Discovery has gathered, and transmits the data on a slip stream engine, and gave the Discovery the knowledge of the time travel the Federation was dabbling in and having trouble with. The Discovery is ordered to complete its mission and that they are expected to be back on Earth in the year 3370, where they will be welcomed back with open arms... hopefully.

2862 - The previous captain dies after being captured by a group of aliens who misunderstood the Discovery's intentions, and Kilin takes command.

2869 - The crew reaches the edge of the Triangulum Galaxy, and begin exploring the Triangulum Galaxy. With only one year left on their allotted 500 year journey, they do not know whether to go back or not when their time is up.
