To get a certain position, simply apply in your character's bio, and say that they have a spot. When accepted, a staff member will add your character to this list. Those who take the positions of Second and Third Officer have to have another job. Those are the only jobs that require another job, and the only two that one is allowed to have two positions on this list, besides civilians, who can have as many civilian jobs as they can manage.

Kilin Michael Brooks
 Captain | 67 years old | Vulcan, Atarian, Trill | Logan Lerman As a young man, Kilin was a very outgoing person, who didn't seem to care too much about becoming a crew member, or even captain, but after his friend Michael Brooks died in an accident, Kilin vowed to achieve Michael's dream of becoming captain and took on a strong work ethic and began to seem more distant from the rest of the crew. Kilin became captain of the Discovery 7 years ago, and has promised to protect the ship and her crew no matter what happens.
John Scott Warren
 Security Chief | Third Officer | 30 years old | Human, Vulcan | Colin Morgan The son of a security officer and chef, John is a man who is highly determined and loyal to his friends (more than loyal to the ship). At the age of 28, John became the head of security and the third mate on the Discovery. However, the worst came. While getting food from the mess hall during a celebration, his family died in an explosion of faulty equipment in their quarters, killing not only his parents and younger brother, but his girlfriend as well. Now he's more closed off and fears a serious relationship, fearing he would lose someone he loves once more.
Stacy Amelia Adams
 Head Helmsmen | 203 years old | El Aurian, Betazoid, Human | Emilie de Ravin
Upon first impressions, Stacey is best described as a brash, confident woman. She comes across as an eager (relatively) young officer wanting to prove herself to the crew and climb the rank ladder to future captain. She’s renown for her explosive temper, and often sweeps through the bridge like a cyclone. However, upon looking up her personnel file, most people would do a double take. It is rare indeed for anyone to suspect Stacey was over 200 years old, and primarily descendant from a race of beings renown for their patience and air of wisdom. At the age of 8, she lost her parents in an explosion caused by an enemy ship, and bounced around the quarters for the next several years. After Jim came aboard the Discovery, she realized she might not be the only one who would live a long life, and joined Starfleet, first as security, medical, then finally the helm, where she is now.
James Tyler Lovett
 Waiter | 134? years old | Human? | Andrew Cooper Found 134 years ago on a rogue dead planet, Jim came aboard the Discovery after an away team, who had to use environmental suits to go onto the surface, found him on the planet. When examined, he was found to be human, but with some differences such as his strong immune system and use of his entire brain. James remembers nothing from before he was on the planet, nor what he was doing there. More recently, he has discovered he has special abilities that others do not seem to have, but has kept those powers a secret. The key to his past lies somewhere in his future.
