The USS Discovery. Quantum Class Starship. Commissioned 2370. Captain Kilin Michaels Brooks.
Crew: 213. Civilians: 290. 21 Decks. 519,000 metric tons. 1987ft. x 698ft. x 298ft.
Slip Stream Engine. Warp Engine. 12 Phaser Banks. Self Sustaining.
Current Mission Length: 499 years.
Deck 1 - Bridge, Ready Room, and Briefing Room.
Bridge: In the center is the captain's chair right next to the first officer's chair. In front those chairs, in front of the view screen is ops and helm. Behind the captain's chair, is security, and to the left of that is internal sensors, then engineering on the fair right (if one is looking at the bridge from the view screen). Between the engineering and internal sensors is the turbo lift.
Ready Room: Found to the left of the bridge, if looking from the view screen, the ready room can be found, next to the briefing room. With the need to rebuild the room 135 years ago, the woods are from Atari Prime, and the rest is from Atari Minor.
Briefing Room: Next to the Ready Room, the briefing room consists of a hexagon table with room for plenty of officers in case of a need for a larger meeting.
Deck 2: Senior Officers' Quarters
Senior Officer Quarters: Differing in only the aspect of deck from other officer quarters, these quarters are fairly small, but large enough for a small family. Larger quarters can be requested if the need arises. There are also guest quarters on this deck.
Deck 3: School Classrooms, Playground Holodecks
School: Divided into 16 grades (1-12, then 4 years of Starfleet-like training), the school takes up the entire deck. Each classroom teaches all of the kids of the same grade, and sometimes combines classes. When one starts their last 4 years of school, they are trained on the job, as well as in the classroom.
Playground Holodecks: These holodecks are reserved for the kids to play in during recess time, and have few settings which they can take, all being fields, or playgrounds. There are a total of three holodecks on this deck.
Deck 4: Crew Quarters
Crew Quarters: Differing in only the aspect of deck from the senior officers' quarters, these quarters are fairly small, but large enough for a small family. Larger quarters can be requested if the need arises.
Deck 5: Mess Hall, Holodecks
Mess Hall: The kitchen is hidden behind a wall, where on the other side the crew eats. There is usually at least one waiter or waitress on duty, and will take orders, submit them to the chef, and bring the food to the one who ordered the food. There are several tables, some with two, and other for more, for families and gatherings.
Holodecks: This is a common retreat of the crew, but many years ago the Earth programs became corrupted, and are not available, though other Milky Way Planets are, such as Vulcan, Romulus, Earth's Moon, as well as many other places. The picture shows a common corridor.
Deck 6, 7,8, 9: Misc. Rooms
Rooms found on these decks include the shuttle bays, transporter rooms, and several cargo bays.
Deck 10: Security Office, Holding Cells
Security Office: An open room with a desk in the middle, this is where the head of security can be found if not on the bridge, but on duty, unless a job has called 'em away. With a video feed on the wall, live, and rewindable, of the holding cells, and a console that shows the status of the entire ship, this office has all of the equiptment need for security to do their jobs. There is also cabinents (seen towards the back of the picture) with a store of weapons, some needing a senior officer's voice print to open.
Holding Cells (not pictured): The door seen on the back of the Security Office's picture is the door leading to the holding cells. There are a total of two cells, with state of the art force fields adapted from technology given to the ship from the Trelions found on the outskirts of the Andromedan Galaxy.
Deck 11: Sickbay
Sickbay: Spanning the whole deck, there are several medical sickbays that are used. Each room has a different purpose, delivery rooms, injury rooms, phaser wounds, and such. The main sickbay is where everyone will report and if not deadly and the doctor is busy, is sent to another room to be treated. Surgery and major wounds are treated in the main sickbay, and the cheif medical officer's office is located right inside the main sickbay.
Deck 12, 13, 14: Misc.
This is where the battle bridge (for when the "saucer" section disconnects, more transporter rooms, and more cargo bays.
Deck 15: Engineering
Engineering: Equipped with a slipstream engine and a warp engine, the engineering section is large, and requires plenty of maintainence. Since the slip stream engine is not used often, but is often tempermental (due to the unstable nature of the engine itself), and the engineers are currently working on making the engine not quite as risky as it is now. The warp engine is the most efficient warp engine at the time of the Discovery's departure, reaching 9.999 with some risk. The subspace communication device that keeps contact with Earth, due to an array of beacons left on the journey (which makes it possible to contact Earth this far out) is found here as well.
Deck 16, 17, 18,19, 20: Misc.
On these decks there are various rooms, including the counselor's office, airponics bay, as well as safe access points to secondary systems if otherwise out.
Deck 0: Astrometrics
Astrometrics: Built after 50 years on their journey, the astrometrics lab maps the stars and creates a map for future use, as well as analyze where they are, who they might meet up with (from information given by the friendlier aliens), and all of their sensor readings.
