As a young man, Kilin was a very outgoing person, who didn't seem to care too much about becoming a crew member, or even captain, but after his friend Michael Brooks died in an accident, Kilin vowed to achieve Michael's dream of becoming captain and took on a strong work ethic and began to seem more distant from the rest of the crew. Kilin became captain of the Discovery 7 years ago, and has promised to protect the ship and her crew no matter what happens.
Kilin's Needs
Best Mate: a new one, other than Michael. This person would probably need to really try to be a good friend of his, and while he won't admit it, he would miss this person if they were to leave.
Worst Enemy: I think this would be someone who hates his whole stay arm's length away routine, or someone who wanted the captain spot he has. Two people who can't really stand each other.
Lover(s): I dunno, someone, I would hope. He could use someone he pretends he doesn't love, but in the end actually does.
Crush(es): Same as Lovers. Some people probably like him in a romantic way, but usually are rejected, or he doesn't catch onto their hints.
Friends: Same as Crushes/Lovers I suppose, but not on a romantic base.
Enemies Someone who insults him, Michael, or is his parents. Those who are just plain mean, I suppose, fed up with him pushing them away. I would hope there aren't too many.
or any combination of any of them.

Found 134 years ago on a rogue dead planet, Jim came aboard the Discovery after an away team, who had to use environmental suits to go onto the surface, found him on the planet. When examined, he was found to be human, but with some differences such as his strong immune system and use of his entire brain. James remembers nothing from before he was on the planet, nor what he was doing there. More recently, he has discovered he has special abilities that others do not seem to have, but has kept those powers a secret. The key to his past lies somewhere in his future.
Jim has not been in a romantic relationship while aboard the Discovery, but has made extremely good friends, one of which he accidentally told 'I love you' to after a eureka moment, and has been hiding from said person since. Personally, I would like to think it was a complete accident, but afterwards he began realizing how much he really did care for this friend (I do picture a woman, but a guy could work as well).
James's needs:
Best Mate: Someone he can hang out with and have fun with. He likes playing sports in the holodecks, but prefers card games and talking and such. This person I plan on James soon telling about his powers. While he is older than most, he has the maturity of a human in their early 30's, except the whole people don't live as long as me except for Atarians and Vulcans and a couple other aliens who make up a minority of the crew.
Worst Enemy: Someone who cannot stand James. Either they believe he's a threat to the ship or something. I have a feeling that this person probably wants to know about James's real past as much as James wants to. I dunno otherwise. Anyone would really work.
Lover(s): If you read the second paragraph of Jim's description, you'll know what I'm talking about here.
Crush(es): Dunno, but it would be interesting.
Friends: He's in the mess hall what seems all the time, and brings people their food, and almost no one ever sees him eat, but he does join people sometimes when they would like his presence in their conversation if he looks lonely or not busy, or whatever.
Enemies: People who view him as a threat, don't trust him, or just plain don't like him. He does make off-hand comments about the cuteness of those on the Discovery, and some may not like it.
or any combination of any of them.
